What we build for financial services
For FCA-regulated firms we build supervision, file checking and onboarding systems where AI does the first read and a person makes the decision. Every check is logged with what was seen and who approved it. The AI runs inside the firm's own cloud account, so client files stay where compliance already expects them.
The supervision backlog
A supervisor has a month of adviser files to check. Each one means reading a fact find, a suitability report and the product paperwork, then ticking a checklist in a spreadsheet. The sample gets smaller as the month goes on.
Most of that reading is finding things: is the attitude to risk recorded, does the recommendation match it, are the disclosures there. AI can do that first pass and point to the page. The judgement stays with the supervisor.
How an AI-assisted file check works
The file comes in
Documents are pulled from the case system or uploaded, and stored in the firm's own cloud.
The first read
The model checks the file against your checklist and quotes the passage behind each answer.
A person decides
The supervisor sees each flag with its source, agrees or overrules it, and adds notes.
Everything is logged
The file, the model version, the flags and the supervisor's decision are kept as one record for audit.
What else we build for regulated firms
- Client onboarding that collects documents, checks them for completeness, and hands the KYC decision to a person. More in AI agents for onboarding.
- Dashboards for compliance officers showing what was checked, what was flagged and what is overdue.
- Private AI deployed in your AWS or Azure account, with no client data sent to a public API. See the secure AI platform.
- Audit trails that record which model gave which output, so an answer can be explained later. The model audit guide covers what to keep.
- Automation of the routine steps around compliance work, set out in FCA compliance automation.

Start with what compliance officers need to know about the FCA and AI. It covers Consumer Duty and SM&CR as they apply to AI, and where accountability sits.

The services behind it
Document processing
Fact finds, reports and ID documents read and checked, with a person approving.

Can FCA-regulated firms use AI?
Yes. The FCA has no rule against it. Firms stay accountable for outcomes under Consumer Duty and SM&CR. So a person approves what the AI produces, and the system keeps a record of what it did.
Does client data leave our systems?
No. The models run inside your own AWS or Azure account. Client files are processed there and nothing is sent to a public AI service.
Will AI make supervision decisions?
No. It reads the file and flags what it finds, with the passage it relied on. The supervisor makes every decision, and the system records who made it.
How do we explain an AI output to the regulator?
Each check keeps the input file, the model version, the output and the person who approved it. That record shows what the model saw and who signed it off.
